I am a freelance biotechnologist and biochemist with more than 14 years of experience leading national and international projects and collaborating with key opinion leaders and leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. Our approach combines advanced scientific knowledge, strategic leadership, and mastery of innovative tools such as artificial intelligence and systems biology, allowing us to address complex challenges with customized, viable, and sustainable solutions.

My name is Laura Artigas and I lead the Bioaxiom Consulting project.
Biotechnologist, biochemist, and eternally curious.
Since I was little, science called to me more than literature. I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to something related to life, health, and biomedical research. I began studying Biology in Girona, but Biotechnology soon caught my attention—a still-young field with immense potential to transform the world.
After specializing with a master’s degree in Advanced Biotechnology, I began my professional career at Anaxomics, a pioneering company applying artificial intelligence and systems biology to medical research. What began as an internship was the start of a 14-year career, during which I rose through all levels: from student in training to becoming Scientific and Operations Director, and a member of the company’s Executive Committee. During this time, I led national and international projects with leading pharmaceutical companies and thought leaders, participating in high-impact publications. I worked with emerging technologies and multidisciplinary teams, and learned to translate scientific complexity into real, strategic solutions. Additionally, I contributed to process optimization and the implementation of new technologies, always with a focus on achieving measurable and valuable results.
For me, this stage was as ambitious as it was inspiring. It taught me to think big, to integrate science and technology without losing sight of the human impact.
Now, as a freelance consultant, I combine more than 14 years of experience in data analysis, artificial intelligence, and scientific communication with something I consider essential: the ability to see the whole picture. To understand not only what the data says, but what it needs to say. What the client is looking for. And how to take their science right to the point where it begins to generate impact.

He estado en muchas reuniones donde todo era tecnicismo y nadie se entendía. He visto grandes proyectos quedarse atrás por no saber contarse. Y también he vivido cómo una buena interpretación, una pregunta a tiempo o una narrativa clara pueden cambiarlo todo.

Mi fortaleza está en construir ese puente entre el dato y la decisión. Entre la visión científica y la acción real.
Si tienes la ciencia, los datos o una idea clara, pero necesitas dirección, estructura o tiempo para convertirla en resultados… ahí entro yo. Te acompaño con rigor, visión y una entrega a medida de lo que necesitas.
También me considero una persona sensible, creativa, inquieta y curiosa. Tengo una gran empatía y me gusta sentir que ayudo a los demás y que lo que hago tiene un propósito. Y sí, soy bastante cabezota: cuando algo se me mete en la cabeza, voy a por ello con determinación.
Soy exigente conmigo misma, pero también valoro profundamente la ternura y el vínculo con las personas. Y a nivel personal, mi objetivo es que mi trabajo siga aportando valor, que tenga un impacto positivo y que esté alineado con lo que soy.
Trabajo en el ámbito médico, y me mueve un deseo profundo de acercar la ciencia y la investigación los pacientes y la ciudadanía. A menudo parece que la investigación es cosa de unos pocos “brillantes”, pero yo creo firmemente que:
“La ciencia no puede avanzar si no generamos conciencia colectiva.”
Me apasiona analizar, investigar, sacar a la luz lo que está escondido y ayudar a trazar nuevos caminos. Me interesa tanto la dirección de proyectos y laboratorios como el contacto humano, la innovación, la posibilidad de darle la vuelta a las cosas, de transformar lo establecido y hacer que la ciencia sea más cercana, más comprensible y útil para todos.
